Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- I am duly authorised and herewith grant the publisher unlimited rights to publish the work in any format and/or medium, whether for gain or any other purpose.
- I have ensured that my submission conforms to the journal’s various Editorial Policies and meets the journal’s Editorial Criteria.
- I have checked and adhered to the Koers style sheet (view here) for authors regarding the specific formatting requirements for submissions.
- I declare that my submission has not been previously published in its current or a substantially similar form. I also declare that the article is not before or under another journal for consideration. The work has also not been published in any database or book identified with an ISBN.
- I understand that the entire manuscript must be neatly prepared and spell checked.

I have obtained the necessary permission from the copyright holder/s to reproduce in the article, in all media in all countries, and transmit via all reputable third parties, any materials including tables, diagrams and photographs not owned by me.
- All authors have received a final version of the article, take responsibility for the content, and agree to its publication and the order of the authors listed on the paper.
- Anyone that has made a significant contribution to the research and the paper has been listed as an author. Minor contributors have been noted in the Acknowledgements section.
- Any potential conflict of interest in the research will be declared in step 3 of this submission process. Any support from a third party has been noted in the Acknowledgements.
- All research is presented accurately, is objectively discussed and was performed in an ethical manner.

- Ownership of copyright in terms of the Work remains with the authors.
- The authors retain the non-exclusive right to do anything they wish with the Work, provided attribution is given to the place and detail of original publication, as set out in the official citation of the Work published in the journal. The retained right specifically includes the right to post the Work on the authors’ or their institutions’ websites or institutional repository.
Publication and user license
